Cox Communications is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for taking solutions designs and project requirements and building/integrating environment(s) to support the Hospitality Network Service and Cox Business. 

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
• Design and document the technology infrastructure for all environments and partner with Technology Operations on the design of production implementations 
• Provide hands-on project management to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of infrastructure required for new projects 
• Help to drive architectural improvements and standardization for the infrastructure environments, defines enhanced automated processes to release new solutions into the target environments in a timely, repeatable fashion 
• Help define project budgets and forecasts for Infrastructure spend 
• Create and maintain Service Management documentation for all environments and processes 
• Define enhanced automated processes to release new solutions into the target environments in a timely, repeatable fashion 
• Collaborate with other teams (Architecture, Solutions Development, Test, Service Management, and the business teams Hospitality team, Cox Business) and vendors to develop detailed infrastructure design 
• Perform configuration and performance tuning 
• Develop, build, configure, customize, integrate, and unit test solutions and create detailed development designs 
• Responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensuring that IT Operations is able to meet these needs with an appropriate catalogue of services 
• Responsible for understanding, anticipating, and influencing customer demand for services to ensure that the service provider has sufficient capacity to meet the required demand 
• Maintain the Service Catalogue, ensuring that all information within the Service Catalogue is accurate and up-to-date for the service 
• Deliver a particular service within the agreed service levels and defining service level agreements between other teams within IT Operations 
• Provide technical expertise and support for the management of the IT infrastructure 
• Design, test, operate, and improve IT services 
• Focus on support issues and continuous process improvements for the service 
• Contributes to vision and strategy for IT Service 

Qualifications



Minimum: 
• Generally 5 or more years of experience in related field in Information Technology OR generally 3 or more years of experience if candidate has a related advanced degree 
• Strong knowledge of MS Suite, Visio, infrastructure, and basic networking 
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization 
• Knowledge of operating system administration, servers, and storage 
• Excellent problem solving and documentation skills 
• Knowledge of backups and monitoring 
• Experience in designing and supporting an infrastructure environment 

Preferred:
• BS/BA in related discipline (Information Technology or Business) 
• Experience in telecommunications industry 
• ITIL experience – Service Management
