Client support for Marketing Opex and Sales - Performs and delivers financial analysis and insights to influence the decisions made by marketing opex and sales teams. Responsible for marketing ROI analyses, evaluation of marketing spend, building and evaluating business cases for marketing & sales initiatives.
Determines and develops approach to projects. Work requires increasing independence; guidance is provided on a regular basis but primarily on complex issues. Work typically involves periodic review of output by others.
Expected to create and review analyses, reports and business cases with executives. Expert level of Excel proficiency.
Marketing ROI analyses and evaluation of marketing spend:
Understands current methodologies and attribution modeling for marketing ROI analyses.
Continuously evolves methodologies to be more accurate and insightful.
Works with multiple teams to understand the methodologies and to determine how to evolve them.
Incorporates methodology changes into the ROI calculation models.
Understands and influences marketing spend decisions across initiatives led by marketing or sales teams.
Publishes marketing ROI reports and insights.
Presents reports and findings to executives.
Gathers and compiles data to identify and report on business trends and provides recommendations:
Develops construct to access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources.
Builds business cases for marketing & sales initiatives:
Understands the initiative goal and operational plans.
Asks in-depth questions to understand benefits and costs associated with the initiative.
Gathers data supporting the benefits and associated costs.
Builds financial models with these detailed assumptions that would help the business make a go/no-go decision on the initiatives.
Provides financial and operational consultative services through collaborative partnerships with clients and peer groups.
Project Management – Facilitates partnership, coordinates stakeholder communication, and completes assignments to support project objectives.
5+ years of experience required in related field (i.e. Finance, Operations, Business, etc.); or 3+ years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree.
Skilled in financial modeling, creating business cases, and data analysis.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
Solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills demonstrating a consistent attention to detail; solid organization and workflow skills.
BS/BA in related discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business, etc.).
Experience in modeling/analyzing Sales and Marketing initiatives.
Tableau Developer skills a plus.
Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
