Cox Communications is looking for a team member to develop, implement, integrate and maintain applications in the Technology Division within the Enterprise Dev and Operations group. The Portals and Collaborations team is looking for a Lead who can direct work in SharePoint Online, Azure, .NET, and Project Server. This Lead will formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop complex systems in the areas of Digital Workplace, ECM, and Collaboration. This role prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written as well as designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs. Responsibilities will include code reviews and leading other developers on enterprise projects working closing with others as the solution architect to ensure proper system design. This will ensure the highest quality implementations from design through development, QA and production requiring a seasoned professional contributor with responsibility for an advanced area of work.
Typical Training / Experience - Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline; Generally, 5-10 years of experience in related field. Certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 5-10 years of experience in related field. 5+ years of experience with developing Microsoft solutions such as .NET Web applications and SharePoint.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
•Coding, testing and providing support for Intranet platforms
•Responsibility for delivery of overall technical solution to schedule and time.
•End to end responsibility in DevOps model, Dev, QA and Operations
•Working with the parent company to troubleshoot issues while using SSO for key systems
•Creating documents such as release plans for production releases
•Deploying and debug applications in the development environment
•Maintaining the development environment for required applications
•Troubleshooting environmental issues in QA
•Setting up new server environments and installing the applications and creating training/deployment documentation
•Completes all technical development tasks pertaining to applications per approved projects and allocated budgets
•Multi-tiered custom application design & development
•Interfaces with functional users to confirm the applicability of design alternatives identifies and recommends cost effective options, and address user concerns
•Ability to convert business requirements into full design documents including technical designs, service guides, and deployment guides with the ability to identify scalability and design appropriately.
•Conducts necessary internal quality assurance, unit testing, system testing, and load testing to ensure that the application is of high quality when released to users for the User Acceptance Testing phase of the project (manage all necessary migration of software code to/from the respective environments (development, quality assurance, training)
•5-10 years of experience in (Application development, Infrastructure Engineer, Software Engineer).
•5-10 years of experience with developing .NET Web applications.
•Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Object Oriented Programming
•Experience working in a large, fast-paced project environment
•Microsoft Skills: SharePoint, spFx, C#, ASP.NET, Azure, SQL Server, Visual Studio
•Experience with web service standards (WCF, REST, and SOAP)
•BS/BA in related discipline
oMicrosoft Skills: MVC, Razor, PowerApps, Flow, InfoPath
oSecurity skills: SAML, Oauth, XML
•Agile Scrum development methodology
•Knowledge of performance tuning, security, scalability
•Proficiency in writing unit tests and using unit testing frameworks
•Full comprehension of n-Tier architectures
•Understands SOAs and service layer interactions
•Should be knowledgeable of Source Code Control tools
•Clear understanding of SQL database principals including database triggers, SQL syntax and stored procedures.
•Candidate must understand large enterprise solution development and SDLC
•Excellent communication both written and verbal
•Strong Web Development Experience preferred
